Privacy Policy

We don't collect anything.

Last updated 7 September 2026

The short version. BabyTeller has no accounts and no server, because we run neither. The only places your data is ever stored are your own device and your own Apple iCloud account, through Apple's CloudKit. Teller Technologies collects nothing, receives nothing, and cannot see any of it. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and nothing is ever sold or shared, because there is nowhere for it to go.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no sign-up, no email address, no password, and no profile. We do not operate a server of any kind, so there is no point at which your data passes through anything we control. The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or attribution software. It has no third-party code in it at all.

Where your data lives

There are exactly two places, and we control neither of them: your device, and your own iCloud account. Everything you log, including feeds, sleep, diapers, growth, medicines, notes and your baby's name and birthday, is written to a database on your own device.

  • If you have iCloud enabled, that database also syncs through Apple's CloudKit into your own private iCloud account, so it reaches your other devices. It is stored under your Apple Account, subject to Apple's terms, and counts against your iCloud storage. We have no access to it.
  • If you invite a partner or caregiver to share the log, Apple's sharing carries it to the people you name, and only to them. You can stop sharing at any time from within the app.
  • Deleting the app removes the local copy. To remove the iCloud copy, delete BabyTeller's data from your device's iCloud settings.

Voice and dictation

BabyTeller can be operated by speaking, through Siri or its dictation page. Speech is transcribed on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. The app requires on-device recognition and does not fall back to network transcription. Recordings are not stored; the words are turned into an entry and the audio is discarded.

Using Siri means Apple's own Siri handling applies to that interaction. That is between you and Apple; we receive nothing from it.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled by the app on your device and delivered by iOS locally. There is no push server, so no reminder you set is ever transmitted anywhere.

Purchases

If you buy the unlock or leave a tip, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account. Apple provides us with aggregate sales reports that do not identify anyone.

Your child's information

BabyTeller is an app for parents and caregivers. Information about a child is entered by an adult and stays in that adult's own storage, exactly as described above. We never receive it, and there is nowhere for us to send it. The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect anything from a child.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to hand over, correct or erase on request. Your data is already entirely in your hands. You can view, edit and delete any entry in the app, and remove all of it by deleting the app and its iCloud data.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If a future version of BabyTeller ever collects anything at all, we will say so plainly and in advance rather than quietly amending this page.
